Experience, the best teacher

It is good for me
That I have been afflicted.
I used to be badly pessimistic
Enjoyed and indulged in
Self pity and negative thoughts.
The Lord said 'Yes' to
My every negative thought.
The thing I had greatly feared
Came upon me.
I was forced to think positively.
Now, I'm enjoying its fruits.
Experience brings a change of heart.
